Improved Sampled Average Modulation Technique for the Modular Multilevel Converters

چکیده
In this article the improved sampled average modulation technique is proposed, has 2N + 1 levels in output voltage waveform of MMC and it considered as low complexity implementation for any number submodules per arm. For that, characteristics such dynamic response, complexity, inverter levels, switching frequency are to evaluate validate proposed technique. The compared with other three previously techniques, its considering parameters THD fundamental value voltage, also peak-to-peak variation submodule capacitor voltage. Several simulations were performed Matlab/Simulink software these results, was validated technique, verified that computationally more efficient. This last one shows potential multiphase multilevel applications.
